Driver Intervention Program

The McIntyre Center Driver Intervention Program (DIP) is a 72-hour residential program for persons arrested operating a motor vehicle impaired and/or under the influence of mood-altering substances. The ultimate goal of the McIntyre Center’s DIP is to help reduce the number of OVI cases in the community by promoting safety through education.

We are taking COVID-19 precautions which will include health screenings and may include adjustments to location of the program and availability of shared rooms. Before registering, please call the office at 440–887–1100 for program details.

The McIntyre Center offers clients:

  1. A respectful, confidential, safe, alcohol/drug free client-centered environment in which to complete the requirements.
  2. A comprehensive alcohol/drug education curriculum including legal, financial, medical, and social issues related to OVIs.
  3. ODADAS certified screenings, recommendations and referrals.
  4. Practical resources for clients still managing their issues regarding their OVIs.

We are Ohio’s oldest (1985) and most recommended Driver Intervention Program (DIP).
